Terms of Use (EULA)

Last updated: July 14, 2026

These Terms of Use, together with the End User License Agreement below (collectively, the "Terms"), are a binding agreement between you and Chain Reaction Labs Inc. ("Carbon Sight," "we," "us," or "our") governing your use of the Carbon Sight app and website (the "Service"). By downloading, installing, or using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

1. License

We grant you a personal, limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the Service for your own lawful, non-commercial and internal business purposes, subject to these Terms. You may not copy, modify, reverse-engineer, resell, or redistribute the Service except as permitted by law.

2. Subscriptions and billing

Carbon Sight offers auto-renewable subscriptions: Standard ($4.99/month), Plus ($11.99/month), and Pro ($24.99/month). Annual plans (Standard $47.99/year, Plus $115.99/year, Pro $239.99/year) renew yearly on the same terms. Prices may vary by region and are shown to you before you buy.

Payment is charged to your account at confirmation of purchase. Subscriptions automatically renew monthly at the then-current price unless auto-renew is turned off at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Your account is charged for renewal within 24 hours before the period ends.

Managing and cancelling: On iOS, manage or cancel your subscription in Settings → Apple ID → Subscriptions; any unused portion of a free trial (if offered) is forfeited when you buy a subscription. On the web, manage your subscription through the billing portal or by contacting us. Cancelling stops the next renewal; it does not retroactively refund the current period.

3. Acceptable use

You agree not to misuse the Service, including by attempting to breach security, overload our systems, scrape data at scale, or use the Service for any unlawful purpose. We may suspend or terminate access that violates these Terms.

4. Scores are estimates

Carbon Sight produces carbon footprint estimates using an open, published methodology and public life-cycle-assessment data. Estimates carry uncertainty and are provided for informational purposes. They are not a guarantee, certification, warranty, or professional environmental advice, and should not be the sole basis for regulatory, financial, or purchasing decisions. Certified outputs, where offered, are described separately at the time of purchase.

5. Intellectual property

The Service, including its software, design, and brand, is owned by Chain Reaction Labs Inc. and protected by law. Our published methodology and open data sources are described in the app; nothing here grants you rights to our trademarks or software beyond the license above.

6. Disclaimers and limitation of liability

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, to the fullest extent permitted by law. To the maximum extent permitted by law, Chain Reaction Labs Inc. will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, and our total liability for any claim relating to the Service is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim.

7. Changes and termination

We may update these Terms or the Service from time to time; material changes will be reflected by the "Last updated" date above. We may suspend or terminate the Service or your access if you violate these Terms. You may stop using the Service at any time.

8. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the United States and the State of California, without regard to conflict-of-law rules, except where local consumer law provides otherwise.

9. Apple App Store — additional terms (EULA)

If you obtained Carbon Sight through the Apple App Store, the following additional terms apply and, in case of conflict for the iOS app, control over the sections above:
